A Living Network of Relationships
Relazioni Montez presents a living network of encounters between artists, artworks, gestures, places and the communities that sustain them. Rooted in the Montez tradition and extending from Frankfurt to Rome and beyond, the publication traces almost three decades of shared artistic practice, cultural exchange and institutional development between 1998 and 2026. Rather than presenting a linear history, it reveals the relationships through which an artist-led community developed into a wider European cultural infrastructure.
From Artistic Community to Cultural Infrastructure
The Book as Interface
The publication connects its printed pages to an evolving digital archive developed through ARTup. Through QR codes, readers can access original documents, searchable texts, videos, interviews, photographs, artworks and contextual information, while navigating between related artists, events, places and institutions.
The physical book and the digital archive therefore form a single documentary system. The book is not simply a container for archival material; it is the physical interface to a living archive that can remain interconnected and continue to grow beyond its pages.
